摘要
Oxides are produced by heating residues at 700-1100 degrees C under oxidising conditions. Residues are first mixed with oxides, which do not sinter or melt when heated to this temp., and with water to give pumpable suspension. Latter is then roasted in furnace, supplied with sufficient energy to prevent temp. falling below 700 degrees C, then calcined, pref. for is not 1 hr. at 900-1100 degrees C in presence of gas containing O2. - Oxides, which are finely-divided and free from C and S cpds., are esp. useful in enamel industry and can also be employed in metallurgy. Process is economical and simple, avoids sintering and eliminates danger of polluting underground water by disposal of residues.
