The holder is designed as a press which stresses the test piece along its axis with a definite force. Outside its area stressed by the press, the test piece has fastened detachably to it a part of at least one electromagnetic oscillator which is composed of the two parts oscillating armature and electromagnet free of contact and has its axis running approximately parallel to the axis of the press. The press can contain a rigid support for the test piece and a hydraulically operated stamp which is lowered onto the test piece. An adapter is used to adapt to individual dimensions of the test piece.
