The multiplace display unit is for incorporation in a control panel or switchboard to indicate the operating condition of units having more than three conditions of operation. Palette display units with falling palettes carrying a variety of symbols are used, grouped together to permit combinations of adjacent symbols to display a large variety of possible conditions. - The arrangement is very suitable for mimic display switchboards, with a palette unit for each switch or nodal point.
