The loading truck has a loading chamber, and a device to pick up stalk or leaf from the ground and convey these through a conveyor channel. A slide wall reciprocates in tha loading chamber to push the material into the loading chamber. - The sliding wall (7,24) takes up the complete cross-section of the loading chamber (11). It can be moved e.g. by a piston (8) or cable train active over the complete displacement path which extends from the side of the mouth of the conveyor channel (4) away from the loading chamber (11) up to the back wall (12) of the loading chamber (11).(DS)
