Fertiliser from Thomas phosphate which is prepd. by granulating a mixt. of Thomas phosphate contg. 15-18 wt.% citric acid soluble P2O5; hydrated Mg cpds. and sieved fines from a previous reaction so as to give a P2O5:MgO ratio of 1:0.2-0.8 drying the mixt. either simultaneously or subsequently by heating to a temp. high enough to partially or completely dehydrate the Mg cpds. enables the amt. of MgO applied for a given application, to be regulated according to the amt. of MgO naturally present. Pref. K and N source are also incorporated.
