An attachment for transfering stitches from one needle bar to an other by means of a stitch transfer head, equipped with controllable fingers for effecting the transfer. This head is moved along a rail, two or three needles at once, to make the transfer, while the machine pauses. Also the transfer head holds and can move the needles the right distance apart for transfer.
