1384548 Curtain heading tapes THOMAS FRENCH & SONS Ltd 11 Oct 1972 [21 Oct 1971] 48885/71 Heading D1K A curtain heading tape 11 is woven with a wrapped yarn or a stiff continuous filament yarn with an additional filter weft as weft, and the warp, only in the region immediately adjacent draw cords 22 and 24 consists of continuous filament yarn. The draw cords 22, 24 are located at intervals in tubes 18, 20 formed warpwise along the tube, and float over other intervals which are offset warpwise relative to each other to provide a fanshaped pleat (Fig. 2, not shown) in use. The continuous filament warp may be nylon, polyester, cabled rayon or metallic. Pockets 16 are provided on one face of the tape by wearing a set of warps with a separate weft thread.
