Two drying towers 23, 24 may be provided for the hygroscopic material and connectable alternately between the passages 21, 34 (which contain respectively particle and dust filters 28, 34) by operation of two way, four port valves 26, 27 under the control of a timer 33 via connections 33a, 33b, a third connection 33c operating a blower to purge moisture to the outside air from the tower not in use. A dew point indicator 29 warns of introduction of moisture.
