Flame proofing linear polyethylene terephthalate - using a synergic mixt of brominated diphenyl and triphenylphosphine oxide

Linear polyethyleneterephthalate fibres are flame-proofed with a mixt. of n wt.% brominated diphenyl, esp. hexabromodiphenyl, and m. wt.% triphenylphosphine oxide, where m+n = t, 4 =n =8 and 9 =t =12. The fibres can be flame-proofed satisfactorily with low reagent concns.
