Cooled welding torch, esp. a plasma torch, has a nozzle body which consists of a porous, liq-permeable material, pref. a sintered metal and/or ceramic mass, and this is connected with a coolant fluid conduit. The surfaces not intended for the entry or discharge of coolant fluid are covered with a protective layer, pref. of glaze, vapour-deposited metal or plastic.
