The horizontal tubes are divided into an upper and a lower section through which the refrigerant to be liquefied is forced to flow sequentially by dividers in the domes covering the end plates into with the tube end, are welded/swaged. The upper section is cooled by the blown air from a number of fans on the top of the outer casing and the water sprinklers are directed onto the lower section of tubes below which is a catcher trough. The refrigerant traverses an S shaped path the lowest leg being a pair of collector pipes from the inlet end dome to the other end. Compact high refrigerant cooling capacity.
