Ceramic support bodies for coverless resistors - produced by extrusion with intermittent inclusion of foreign substance

This method is more convenient than the conventional drilling of holes in the shaped, green or burnt, ceramic body. The foreign substance can be liq. (pref. water) or solid (pref. WC, cellulose acetate, polyacetal); it can diffuse into the ceramic material, or form a glaze or a metallic coating on the sides of the hole. The ceramic strip can be transversally grooved to facilitate the subsequent severing of single bodies.
