Lacquers emulsified or dispersed in washing water from lacquering plants, consisting mainly of resins modified with ammonium derivs. are ppted according to the Parent Patent using CaCl2 and lime milk as flocculating agents. This process is improved by using CaCl2 suspension obtained by neutralising acid HCl eluate of cation exchanger loaded with undesirable metal ions from galvanic plant effluents with carbide mud (lime hydrate-contg. waste material from acetylene prodn.).
