A cpd. of formula (I):- and physiologically-acceptable salts is prepd. by reacting a cpd. 1,2,3,4,10,10a-hexahydropyrazino 1,2:a -indole or reactive deriv., with a cpd.: NR1=CR2-NH2 or its reactive deriv., (where R1 = H; R2 = alkyloxy; alkylmercapto, 3,5-dialkyl-pyrazolyl or NC-NH; or 1R + R2 together form a C-C-bond). (I) have hypotensive activity and may by used as hypotensives or as inters. in the prepn. of other medicaments.
