Title cpds. have the formula (I): (where R is thiophenyl opt. substd. 1 - 3 times on the phenyl ring by 1 - 2C alkyl, halogen, 1 - 2C haloalkyl, 1 - 4C alkoxy, phenoxy, carboxy, carboxylic acid ester, carbonamide, carbonanilide, benzoylamino, aminosulphonyl, phthalimide, or dicarbonimido, or a sec. amino gp. of formula -NH-R', in which R' is (a) a satd. aliphatic opt. branched 1 - 10C alkyl in which an H atom can be substd. by OH, 1 - 8C alkoxy, phenoxy-alkoxy with 7 - 14C atoms, CN or pyrolidine, (b) 5 - 10C cycloaliphatic; (c) phenyl in which the phenyl ring may be substd. by 1 - 3 1 - 4C haloalkyl, phenyl, 1 - 10C alkoxy, phenoxy, carboxy, carbamido, carbanilido, benzoylamino, anilido, sulphonamido, phenylazo, dicarbonanilido, dichloramido, trimellitic acid amido or dicarboxylic acid methylamido, (d) naphthalene, (e) 1-anthraquinone opt. substd. in pos. 4, 5 or 8 by a benzoylamino gp.). They are prepared by reacting 4:4'-dichloro-1:1'-dianthraquinonyl with a cpd. RH in a mol. ratio of 1 : 2 .
