Tread stacking - by suction lifting mechanism synchronised with stacking of support boards on trolley

The unvulcanised strips for the treads of vehicle tyres are lifted from their conveyor by a mounting which is the width of a support board, held by suction clamps. The support boards are moved individually into a stack on a trolley, the boards movement being used to trigger the lifting operation of the strips, so that they are laid on the board before the next board is positioned, the movement being directed by a control and segmental area to determine the start and height of movement.
