The bottom pouring ladle is equipped for the blowing of gas through the melt from the double wall bottom comprising an outer lower solid sheet metal and an upper perforated piece of sheet metal, between which there is a gap for the distribution of gas fed in through a socket and above which is a refractory filling consisting of non-porous parts, the gaps between which are filled by a porous material. Also provided are seals, which prevent gas escape through the gap between the shell and the wall lining between the bottom and the tapping hole and from the aeration holes in the shell. Uniform gas distribution is obtained.
