The bags are made from plastic webs and are provided with advertising matter, designations, etc., in a simple manner while allowing for bags of any size to be produced. A strip provided with the inscriptions is welded into the ba, the strip width being pref. less than that of the bag. The strip is pref. attached to the bag as reinforcement to a suspension lug having an opening and fitted on one side of the bag.
