Sidings with suspension and bordering edges, and an interconnecting plate are produced by (a) plasticising solid PVC powder in a heated extruder, (b) extruding the plasticised mass horizontally through an extrusion opening which is 3-20% wider than the width of the produced siding and has a flat central section for the prodn. of the connecting plate of the siding whose height is 25-75% of the thickness of the connecting plate, (c) stamping a texture on the front side of the extruded siding, (d) leading the siding over a series of spaced apart moulding pieces with curved edges for dimensioning the sidings, (e) blowing cooling air against both faces of the connecting plate of the siding, in order to cool and solidify the siding as it moves over the moulding pieces, (f) punching fastening holes in the suspension edge of the cooled siding, and (g) separating into sidings of the desired length. Gives sidings with a granular texture, low reflection, a high impart resistances and exact dimensions.
