An outer tube is shrunk around the fuel segments which rest with their inner plate against an inner tube. Both tubes are welded with the corresponding plates at the edges and, in addition, the inner tube has holes which are filled out by welding. The fuel plates are shaped like involutes and are rolled into the slots of the circular inner and outer plate.
