Thermal treatment of zinc-lead mixed oxides Process is effected in a rotary tube furnace using a number of different processing stages which are carried otu in succession in the same furnace, the first stage consisting of feeding the zinc-lead mixed oxides together with a reducing agent to the furnace to produce clinker and a primary fly ash containing lead and collecting the storing the primary fly ash, a second stage consisting of returning the primary fly ash to the furnace together with a slag former and a reducing agent to produce works lead, a secondary fly ash and a slag, the secondary fly ash being collected and stored, and a third stage consisting of feeding the secondary fly ash with a reducing agent to the furnace to produce clinker.
