Degreasing and preparing textiles for fulling - using mixture of water and degreasing solvent

The textile fabric is degreased and prepd. for fulling by treatment with a homogeneous mixt. of water and degreasing solvent formed in a rotating filter device for filtering the solvent. Pref. the filter device includes a hollow rotating shaft arranged in a housing and carrying hollow filtering discs so that solvent supplied to the bottom of the housing passes through the discs and into the tubular shaft and upwardly to a collecting chamber at the top of the housing. Water may be supplied via inlets at the bottom, middle or top of the housing so that it may be mixed with the solvent before, during or after its passage through the filtering discs.
