Desulphurising active carbon - pre-drying heating eg by inert gas, to vaporize elementary sulphur

Regenerating loaded active C used for desulphurising viscose exhaust gases, by sepg. the CS2 and elementary S, the latter being driven out in the gaseous state, by indirect or direct heating of the previously dried active C. Elementary S is vaporised by direct heating with a hot, e.g. inert gas, e.g. N2. Pretreatment with steam is recommended.
