Acidic KMnO4 sol. is used for such treatment to form a surface film of 2 - 14, pref. 4 - 10 mu g/cm2 Mn in the Mn-oxides deposited by immersion of the plastic in 2 - 6% KMnO4 sol. in 1 - 10, pref. 1 - 5% H2SO4 at 20 - 100, pref. 60 - 80 degrees C for generally 5 secs. to 15 mins. Laminated, or metal foil covered products obtained by bonding such treated plastics are claimed.
