Filter cloth shaker mechanism - fixed to cloth support frame and mechanically actuated

An air flow with mechanical strikes for intermittent removal of the dust from the filter cloth is constructed as follows; the filter cloth is mounted inside a protective cage and is extended between upper and lower frames; one of these, pref. the lower, is fixed, while the other, pref. the upper one can be moved by a drive element to vary the distance between the frames and to produce corresponding jerky movements of the filter cloth. The filter cloth itself is pref. reinforced by longitudinal and/or transverse strips of cloth or plastic. The apparatus enables the cloth to be repeatedly shaken with appreciable energy without risk of tearing.
