Continuous building-block fabrication - from fused siliceous rock blended with foaming material

The process of the parent patent for producing building elements from rock, e.g. limestone and/or sand, fused together with agents to form gas bubbles; is made continuous by conveying moulds destined to receive melt, on a moving belt, which passes through a controlled cooling tunnel. Rock is pre-pulverized, and reinforcing wire mesh may be fed to moulds on belt. Appts. comprises a double cone hopper, to the top of which rock/foamer mixture is fed, having a fusion funnel (heated e.g. by gas burners) at the bottom, above the belt carrying moulds.
