Handling appts. for re-winding rollers, eg for re-winding sheet metal which has been longitudinally cut into narrower widths, comprising a frame (I) and = two rewinding sections (II) each comprising a pair of arms (III) carrying spindles onto which the strip is rewound, (III) are mounted on support shafts (IV) carried by (I). Each (II) has a fluid actuated assembly which pivots (III) around (IV) and which comprises first and second piston cylinder assemblies pivotably mounted on (I) which pivot (III) between first and second posns.
