1307798 Brick walls WIENERBERGER ZIEGELFABRIKS - UND - BAUGESELLSCHAFT 19 April 1971 [27 March 1970] 25211/ 71 Headings E1B and E1S Masonry walls are built up from apertured blocks with bearing surfaces formed level with tolerances of 0-5% of the diagonal dimension by dipping the bearing faces in a viscous binder comprising sand, hydraulic binder and highly dispersed plastics and cellulose additives to give the required viscosity of at least 8‹ Engler and setting retardation. The binder may include fly ash or slag flour, cement, polyvinyl acetate polyacrylates, and methyl cellulose. The blocks may be fed to the bricklayer along a conveyor which passes through a tank of the binder. The tank has an adjustable grating limiting the immersion of the block. The block may have gripping recesses to facilitate handling by the bricklayer.
