The insulating substrate may be a polyester film or paper optionally coated on one or both sides with polyethylene, polyester or cellulose triacetate. The metal layer may be a thin film of Al, Cu, Ag, Zn or Pb adhered or evaporated on to the substrate. The intermediate layer may be copoly vinyl ether-maleic anhydride esterified with methanol and butanol, or casein optionally mixed with copoly acrylonitrilebutadiene and clay. The intermediate layer may be coated with polyvinyl carbazole or ZnO in silicone varnish and ethyl cellulose and sensitized with Rose Bengal.
