The extruded, blown film tubing is preperforated at regular intervals before winding on the storage reel. From that reel it is fed by a pair of rollers to a secondary, eccentrically mounted, perforating roller, synchronized with the movement of the initial perforations. The film then passes over a tension regulation section using idler rollers, to a second pair of drive rollers at the same speed as the first pair and thence between a pair of parallel rubber belts running faster still between which it is clamped when inner pressure rollers are operated by a control system using a sensor for the secondary perforation line, so separating lengths from the main run of material.
