Green parts e.g., of Thuja occidentalis on orientalis are extd. with an apolar solvent, pref. xylene, until no more yellow colour is removed, the residue dried, put up e.g., as a tincture, syrup, or extract, and used in treating all forms of abnormal cell growth.
