This photograph is used to image a Dycril (R.T.M.) plate which is then etched to produce to a recessed member from which is cast a master plate in an epoxy resin. This master plate is used to produce in cold-curing silicone rubber the first die which has recesses matching those of the second die. If the first die is to be made the manufacture of the master plate is omitted and the first die is cast directly from the etched Dycril plate.
