摘要
Flame resistant polyester fibres are obtd by contacting the fibres with a soln of 2-(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)phenol in a lower alkylenes glycol at between 120 degrees C and the softening point of the fibres pref, 150-200 degrees C. Pref the treated fibres are washed with water to remove the alkylene glycol. The soln contains 5-20% of the 2-(2-3,4,6-tribromophenoxy)phenol. The fibres consists of polyethylene terphthalate. The treated fibres are flame resistant and also have a high affinity for dyes.
