The sieve screen comprises a support grid and the sieve which is a matrix of perforated regions and solid fastening strips. The support grid is of elastic of unelastic material and long enough to ensure that the sieve has to be stretched to fit over it. The transverse supports on the grid fit under the fastening strips of the sieve when it is stretched across the support. The curved edge of the sieve fits over that of the support grid so that they can be mounted and tensioned as one unit but the two parts are independently replaceable.
