Disperse dyestuffs prepns - for dyeing synthetic org material from org solvent baths

The prepn. comprises (a) 5-80% of a finely divided disperse dye of max. particle size 10 mu; (b) 5-200% (based on dyestuff) of a slightly polymerised cpd. sol. in halohydrocarbons, contng. =2 CO gps. linked to =2 substd. N atoms, and (c) 20-95% (based on prepn.), of an inert, non-volatile org. cpd. soluble in halohydrocarbons, of b.pt. 200 degrees C., contng. besides C and H, only halogen or O atoms linked exclusively to C atoms and having a mol. wt. of 100-10000. (b) is pref. a cpd. of the polyurea, polyamide or polyvinylpyrrolidone type and (c) is e.g. paraffin oil, polystyrene, polyethylene wax; the halohydrocarbon solvent is pref. perchloroethylene.
