Polystyrene-petroleum jelly blends - for use in injection moulding

Toughened polystyrene compositions containing at least 13% of a microcrystalline wax having a low fluid content (e.g. about 2-10%) and a melting point of 60 deg.-93 deg.C. Part of the wax may be replaced by a mineral oil but the lubricant content must be at leasat 13%, pref. at least 14% of the total weight. 14-17% lubricant is added. The proportion of the mineral oil in the lubricant is not above 40%. 10-16% of wax and up to 4% of oil are added based on total weight. The toughened polystyrene contains polybutadiene.
