A transparent container divided by a party wall into two compartments contains two substrates, one entirely covering the second, in one compartment and a third substrate in the other compartment. The first substrate is a gel containing bacteria growth nutrient, amino-acids, and free iron deaminiziation and fermentationindication, electrolyte to promote ionic current sulphur source to produce H2S in presence of given bacteria, and a pH indicator esp. bromocresol violite. The second substrate contains lysin and a decarboxylization detector and the third and indol liberation indication.
