Recovery of hydrogen sulphide and ammonia from aq solns. G6A. Which may also contain light hydrocarbons under high pressures, by reducing the pressure on the system to remove light hydrocarbons and stripping off the H2S from the soln. in a single distillation column (cf. 25245R as DT 1948427), then partially condensing the ammonia-rich gases at the top of the column, to give an ammonia-rich gas and condensate. Some of the ammonia-rich condensate is combined with the untreated aq. soln. (process I) some of which may contain light hydrocarbons, and which are removed in gaseous form in a degasser by lowering the pressure on the combined aq. soln. (process II). This combined aq. soln. is then led into the first distillation column, (process III). From 5 min. to 24 hrs. (pref. 1 hr. esp. pref. 3-24) are allowed to pass between process II and process III.
