Plastics tube coated outside in wax, stearing etc. mounts a base closed cylinder or capsule contg. wax or stearing or other fuel. A wick cast into this burns at the top and the molten wax is contained in the cylinder which is made from glass etc. to show the light right the way down and which can be decorated or coloured outside as required. The bottom of the cylinder or capsule is pref. smaller in diameter and threaded to screw into a female thread in the tube below, or else fitted with lugs to spring out once inserted in this tube and form a bayonet connection between them.
