The immobile feed and opening device carried in a support housing at the prodn. points on open-end spinning machines, which together with the spinning turbine itself is enclosed by a hinged cover holding a boss projecting with the fibre feed outlet and the yarn delivery inlet into the turbine aperture, described in parent patent, is modified. The insert boss is able to move relatively to the cover, and slides into and out of position on a guide surface between rails, coaxially with the spinning turbine, as the cover pivots on its hinge.
