Composite sheet comprises a reinforced layer of cellular plastic sheet embossed with recesses to receive individual pieces of ceramic tile. The foam layer should be reinforced by a skin of plastic sheet on one face and/or by incorporation of a mesh or cloth of e.g. glass fibres. The recesses may be a press or calendar using high frequency heating and the tiles anchored by means of adhesives or local fusion. For mfr. of stock quantities of insulated ceramic faced sheet in either roll form or as panels or tiles.
