1466699 Printing pastes PRINTON (AUSTRALASIA) PTY Ltd 11 March 1974 [12 March 1973 2 April 1973] 10715/74 Heading D1B A printing paste comprises a sublimable dye, a thickener, water and an additive for increasing the colour yield in transfer printing processes selected from benzyl acetate, dibutyl glycerol ethers, C 1 to C 14 aliphatic alcohols, eucalyptus oil, dibutyl phthalate and mixtures of o-, m-, and p-cresols and optionally an emulsifier which may be a sulphonated oil, nonionic and anionic alkylene oxide condensation products. The additive may be present in amounts of not more than 10% by weight and the emulsifier being not more than 2%. The thickener may be cellulose acetate or sodium alginate. Carrier sheets for the paste are paper and aluminium sheets printed by a rotary process. Substrates to be printed are polyester, polyacrylic, polyamide and cellulose triacetate fibres.
