The melt preparation comprises in wt.% 30-36 Sio2, 8-12 B2O3, 10-15 Al2O3, 6-12 PbO, 2-6 KPO3, 12-20 KF, 5-10 NaF, 2-8 AlF3. - Specifically, the preparation contains up to 2% cadmium tungstate. - The glass is suitable for use as a standard of measurements of the degree of whiteness in commercial appliances.
