Method and apparatus for warmth treatment of metallbaendern, in particular of zinkbaendern

Metal ribbon, partic. Zn ribbon, is annealed by winding it under stress onto a coiler that is separated from it by a layer of heat-insulating material, and subjecting it to the direct impact of streams of hot gas/air while it is held by the coiler. The temp. of the heated metal surface is controlled by regulating the amount of heat applied and/or the winding speed and/or the distance between the heater-nozzles and the metal ribbon. The method can bring a substantial saving of costs.
