Pvc plastisols - contg an adhesion aid which is selectively soluble in the plasticiser

PVC plastisol comprises finely divided PVC, usual fillers and plasticisers and, as adhesion adjuvant, a mixt. of a polyfunctional org. acid (e.g. terephthalic acid) or anhydride thereof, and a polyfunctional org. base contg. at least 2 wt. % of amino-nitrogen (e.g. a polymeric aminoalkylester or -amide of (meth)acrylic acid); at least one component of the mixt. having a solubility in the plasticiser of below 0.1% at temps. up to 50 degrees C, and each component having a solubility in the plasticiser of at least 0.5% at between 100-250 degrees C. Claimed plastisols adhere to substrate without pretreatment of the latter being necessary. Non-toxic components are used. No effect on stability of paste. Easy gelling, not affected by atmospheric oxygen, inexpensive.
