Strips of an unvulcanised rubber mixt. which are subsequently cooled to a lower temp. in a cooling appts. are produced by sepg. of a width from a heated rubber mixt. layer bonded to the surface of a roller. The sepd. width of rubber mixt. is several times the width of the desired strip, and after running off a relatively short initial piece of the width, a further subdivision into strips of the desired width is effected. Before supplying the strips to the cooling appts. or another processing appts. esp. an extruder, the formed short piece is sepd. off transversely to form separate strips. Several strips with a desired width and length can be obtd. directly for placing on a transporter. Short mixing time on the rollers.
