Guide has 3 main parts of which 1 is the adjustable wrap brake (a cylindrical spindle), and another has a tapering inlet arc, guide-in surface, side wall catcher hook and tread outlet guide eye, this part forming with the other main part (a bush) a closed channel for the tread to guide it without restraint from the entrance from the cop-holding shuttle cavity. The three main parts are exchangeable. The outlet guide eye is bent underneath the main part of which it is a section and which is formed e.g. of sheet. The 2 bushes are secured by screws in the shuttle.
