Title compsn. contg. anionic, hybrid-ionic or non-ionic surfactants, polymeric phosphates, complex-forming cpds. and a foaming-controlling agent selected from acetals, ketals and mercaptals having the general formula (in which R1 and R2 are H or 1-24C hydrocrbon; R3 and R4 are 1-48C hydrocarbon or together form a ring; X is O or S; m = 0-1; n = 0-6; with the proviso that R1-4 are =30C) according to the Parent Patent is improved in that 5-95 wt.% (pref. 15-85 wt.%) of the above foam-suppressing agent(s) is replaced by a ketone(s) contg. 11-23C alkyls (pref. laurone, myristone, palmitone or higher ketone mixts), so that the content of the above acetals, ketals and/or mercaptals is 0.1-5 wt.% (esp. 0.2-3 wt.%) w.r.t. the total solid components. A synergistic foam-suppressing effect is achieved.
