Dust separator/neutralizer with charged wash liquor - venturi scrubber with charged and uncharged sprays gives larger droplets and better particle agglomeration

Wet dust collector and gas neutraliser uses electrostatically charged wash liquor. The charge separation of the spray liquor is carried out in an insulated charge vessel with an air cushion. Alternatively charged and uncharged water spray zones can be used, and the sprays can have different drop size distributions. Spraying can be carried out in the agglomeration path of a normal wet venturi scrubber. As the agglomerated droplets are electrostatically charged they exert an additional attraction on the dust particles, improving their agglomeration and separation. Higher efficiency permits lower power consumption.
