Improving machinability of metals and steels - by controlling size and distribution of inclsions

Improved machinability characteristics of metals and esp. steels are produced by controlling the distribution and size of included foreign bodies. The size is controlled to 10-100 mu, pref. 20-60 mu, and the Mean Free Path is 1000-4000 mu, pref 1600-2400 mu.
